Textile puzzles zoom in on fabrics and yarns: denim, wool, lace, velvet, tweed, felt and the weave of your favourite jumper. At this scale every thread becomes visible, and a soft garment turns into a grid of twisted fibres.
In a close-up picture quiz, fabrics are hard to tell apart because most of them are made from the same basic crossing threads. Look at the weave pattern and the fibre itself. A diagonal line suggests denim or twill, loops mean knitting or towelling, and a fluffy surface with no clear pattern points to felt or fleece. Shiny, smooth threads usually mean synthetic fibres or silk, while fuzzy, uneven ones suggest wool or cotton.
