Where WotsThat goes next (and how you can help)

Hello. This article is less about what's changed and more about where we'd like to take the game next, and it comes with an honest ask.

Bigger prizes for the monthly game

At the moment the monthly winner gets one of our puzzle books. We'd love to offer more than that: gift cards, gadgets and proper prizes you'd actually be excited to win.

The plan is to bring in sponsors, companies who put up the prize in exchange for a mention on the site. We've starting those conversations. The catch is that sponsors look at one number before anything else, and that's how many people play.

Right now there are about 150 of you. We're genuinely proud of that, and every one of you has helped shape the game. But it isn't yet enough to get a sponsor to say yes. That's where you come in.

How you can help (and earn points doing it)

• Invite your friends. Go to your profile page and send an invite. When your friend signs up and plays their first puzzle, you both get 10 points.

• Share the Daily. When you finish the Daily, share your result card. It shows your guess count and your time, never the answer, so it won't spoil it for anyone. Challenge your mates to beat your time.

• Share a Play challenge. If someone new finishes a challenge you've shared, you get 5 points.

Group chats, family WhatsApps and the office Teams channel all count. If you know someone who likes a puzzle, send them our way.

We want your ideas too

We're a small team and there's plenty we haven't thought of, so tell us what you'd like to see. A few things already on our list:

• A WotsThat app on the App Store and Google Play. Would you use one, or is the browser fine?

• New types of puzzle or themed weeks

• Different prizes, or ways to win them

There are no bad suggestions. Leave a comment below, even if it's just one line, and we'll read it.

Thanks for playing, and for anything you can do to spread the word.
