Share your Daily on WhatsApp, and play past Dailies

Hello puzzlers. Most of you share the Daily on WhatsApp, so we've made that better. And for anyone who's just found us, there's now a way to catch up on the puzzles you missed.

Your result card, straight into WhatsApp

When you finish the Daily and tap WhatsApp, your branded result card now goes into the chat as a proper picture, with your score and a link underneath. It's the same card as the Instagram one, and it still never shows the answer, so nobody gets spoiled.

On most phones this happens automatically. If yours can't attach pictures, you'll get the text and link as before.

A clearer score

We've also changed the shared text so your friends can see how it went at a glance:

Can you beat me?

Each ❌ is a wrong guess and the ✅ is when you got it. Your Daily Streak shows too, once it reaches 2 days and you're signed in. A lone ✅ means you got it first time, so feel free to brag.

New: the Daily Archive

Missed a day? Only just joined? You can now play every past Daily in the Daily Archive. Find it from the menu, or tap "Want more? Play past Dailies" after finishing today's.

• Stats from the day. Each puzzle shows how many people played it on the day and how many solved it, so you can see how you'd have stacked up.

• Just for fun. Archive puzzles don't earn points and don't count towards your Daily Streak or any leaderboard. Today's Daily is still the one that counts.

• The answer. When you finish an archive puzzle, you can go to its page for the answer and a fun fact.

• Keep track. A tick shows which ones you've done, so you can work through the lot.

You'll need a free account to play the archive. Today's Daily stays free to play without one.

Played before signing up? It still counts

If you play the Daily without an account and then create one (or sign in) on the same phone before midnight, today's result is saved to your account. Your streak starts, your points count and you'll appear on today's leaderboard.
